Date of Passing: Jun 17, 2008
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDOROTHY ELIZABETH MARKS (CROWE) It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of our Mom, Grandma and Great-Grandma on June 17, 2008 following a brief illness. She will be sorely missed by her children Barb (Paul) Reykdal, Bill (Kim) Crowe, Jim (Diane) Crowe as well as her husband Ernie Marks, brother Doug Russell, and her grandchildren Jeff, Christine, Meghan and Lindsay, great-grandchildren, Paige, Sarah, Brock and Amber. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Ed Crowe, brother Jim Russell and recently by her daughter Carlie. Mom was employed as a bank teller until she met and married Ed. They settled in the Fort Garry area. She devoted her life to raising their four children and supporting Ed which made it possible for him to develop the successful business, Wareham Crowe Electric. Many summers and happy times were spent at the family cottage at Dorothy Lake with family and friends. Dorothy (Dot) had a great sense of humour and a knack for making people feel welcome in her home. Her hobbies included knitting and volunteer work. She was fortunate that she had the opportunity to travel extensively with winters spent in Phoenix and vacations in Ireland, Mexico not to mention many cruises. In 1994, she married Ernie, a longtime friend and together they enjoyed travelling and were very involved with the Shriners. Sincere thanks to the staff at the Victoria General Hospital on the 5th floor who took such good care of her. Cremation has taken place. A service will be held at Thomson In the Park Funeral Home on Friday, June 20, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. Mom, give Dad and Carlie a big hug and kiss for us. LOVE YOU THOMSON IN THE PARK 925-1120 Send expressions of sympathy to www.mem.com
